Il Divo European Tour

We were delighted to be part of the UK and European Tour for Il Divo. The tour dates took place at various arena and outdoor venues with crowds of up to 15,000.

We provided the touring tech package including lighting, rigging, LED video screen, musician support and drapery. Our unique “one-stop shop” approach meant that we could service all of these requirements in a short period, to a very high standard and with minimal admin for the tour management.

Lighting

The lighting package included a range of intelligent lights and generic fixtures to meet the needs of Il Divo’s lighting designer. Chauvet Maverick Hybrids were the main fixture for mid-air and beam effects.   In addition to that Robe Patt2013 were used alongside Sunstrips for effect.

Video

The LED video screens for the show formed a major part of the production design. Five vertical strips of Lumio P3 were used to fill even the largest ceiling spaces. This featured live media-server-controlled content.   In addition to this a backdrop LED wall was provided which has to open and close for performer entrance/egress. The roller system for the LED screen was fabricated in house by SXS and was a further refinement on the previous opening LED screen systems we have developed in the last.

Rigging

We provided a complete rigging solution for the touring production. Working closely with “house” providers were installed motors, truss and performer risers in each venue.

Cameras

A 4-way camera package was used for live camera feeds. We opted for the new Blackmagic URSA Broadcast cameras using Canon lenses and box lenses. With vision mix and CCU “Camera Control Units” the quality of the live feeds was of the highest standards.
