X Factor
SXS provided technical production for the X Factor Show Party for the 2017 season finale.
Working with the long-established experiental agency Experience, SXS were appointed as provider of LED video wall, audio, lighting, rigging, staging and some props for this high-profile event at Excel London.
“It was a pleasure to work on production for this show as I have always been a fan of the design and energy behind X Factor” says Production Manager Nathan Dunbar. “We were tasked with helping to create a 'backstage' feel as requested by the client to keep with the aesthetic of the main show".
The three P3 video screens made up of 180 panels were from SXS’ own screen stock, driven by our licensed Qlab playback systems, camera content, custom backgrounds and video playback were seamlessley controlled by the stunning Analog Way Ascender 32 4k multi format switcher.
Sound was all from SXS’ audio department, Our brand new Yamaha QL1 system with Dante Rio Rack was used to mix both front of house and our Sennheiser IEM's, FOH PA was our Martin Audio system. In particular this included Martin W8LM line array, W8LMD downfill as well as the awesome WS218X double-18” subs. Power was from Labgruppen with processing from XTA. Microphones Iincluded our stunning MMK-965 capsules and playback was driven by our Qlab systems and Focusrite sound cards.
Lighting was controlled via one of our Avolites Tiger Touch Pro consoles, Chauver R1 & R2 Wash lights, Elation Profesional Platinum 5R Beams and Astera lightdrops made up the bulk of the rig. We also used 48 of our stunning new Chauvet Well Fit Wireless Uplighters all controlled via Wireless DMX.
