Featured Staff Member – Anika Zold

Anika has worked for SXS for 3 years, initially coming to work for us as part of the Sales Team; Anika has worked her way up to Logistics, HR and Finance Manager for SXS Events.

What is a typical day like for you at SXS?

A typical day for me begins with re-organising the weekly logistics due to last minute changes, booking trucks and hotels for our technicians, and managing our invoicing process. It’s often a busy environment when logistics need altering and bookings need to be made last minute for hotels, trucking, equipment, local crew…the list goes on! But despite the craziness I enjoy getting stuck in to problem-solving and helping the team when they’re on site.

What do you enjoy most about the events industry?

The events industry is so fast-paced! It’s a great rush to get to the end of a busy period and look back at what’s been achieved in such a short amount of time.

Where do you see the company in five years’ time?

I can see the company having a fleet of vans and more warehouses to store our kit and to set up projects before they go out the door.

What event has been your favourite to work on?

My favourite event to date that I’ve helped with is the Midas road show. I got to utilise my filming skills and work with the team on site, a rarity now as I’m always required in the office!

What do you do outside of work?

I have a passion for theatrical make-up and am currently completing a course in Beauty and Make-up at a local college in Bristol.
