SXS Create Spectacular Private Event

In summer 2016 we designed and produced one of the most spectacular private events we have been involved in.  The event was for our client’s birthday party who has extended social and family networks who love an amazing party.  Our brief was to create something energising, memorable and hugely fun.

The client’s large swimming pool became the visual centrepiece for the event. “With such a beautiful pool at the centre of the property it seemed clear to me that this should be a talking point” says Project Handler James McDonough “and clear it was – we made a see-through dance floor so that guests were literally dancing over water!”

The SXS riggers are the only specialist provider of temporary event structural flooring solutions for swimming pools so established methods of work were used.

While the party would have been ideal outdoors the UK weather could not be trusted, so we wanted to give an outdoor experience but with a visual connection to the property.  As such we provided see-through marquees.  “Because the marquees had to be absolutely immaculate we decided to purchase the new roofs, walls and additional polework for this.  We are now proud to have a substantial stock of marquees allowing us to cover over 1000square metres – enough for very large private functions”

But it wasn’t just the event space that was amazing, but also the entertainment.    “Working with the client we booked and managed a string of high-end acts including rock/pop musician Olly Murs and magician Dynamo amongst others.  Having worked with these performers before and with the benefit of our broad industry contacts, we were able to both gain access and provide them on the right terms.”  Says McDonough
